Oklahoma Lieutenant Governor Todd Lamb, a prominent advocate for school choice, offered words of wisdom as he addressed the graduates of Insight School of Oklahoma (ISOK) in an empowering commencement speech on May 17, 2018. ISOK celebrated its Class of 2018 at an in-person graduation ceremony at the First Baptist Church of Edmond.
“Congratulations to the Insight School of Oklahoma Class of 2018,” Lamb said. “These students are a testament to the power of perseverance. They have worked hard to overcome setbacks and get back on track to reach the important event of high school graduation.”
ISOK’s Class of 2018 consisted of 57 graduates, with many of them pursuing higher education opportunities. The graduates of the ISOK Class of 2018 report that they have been accepted to numerous colleges and universities, including University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University, Murray State University, Oklahoma City Community College, Rose State College, Southwest Oklahoma State College and Tulsa Community College.
ISOK’s comprehensive education approach includes specialized support tailored to struggling students; therefore, graduating from high school represents a major accomplishment for ISOK graduates and their family members.
Graduate Kadi Bogle was chosen as the Class of 2018 student speaker. After dropping out of high school, Kadi took control of her future by enrolling at ISOK in 2015.
Kadi’s high school career immensely benefitted from the accommodating curriculum and staff of ISOK.
“Insight makes it possible to graduate,” Kadi said in her speech. “You can work at your pace on your time. This program is amazing, and without it I would not be standing here as a graduating senior!”
Congratulations and best of luck to ISOK’s Class of 2018!
