Heather McFarland is an Instructional Coach for the Northern Region. She graduated from Southwestern A/G University with a bachelor’s degree in education in 2000. Her teaching career began in 2000 at a brick and mortar school. While in the brick and mortar environment, she taught numerous grades from elementary to high school. In 2011, she made the switch to Louisiana Virtual Charter Academy (LAVCA), where she started out teaching middle school social studies before moving up to high school world history. She has two sons of her own and is a certified foster parent with five foster children.
