K12 Kids are Amazing and so are K12 Parents!Back to School Time

We are a few weeks into the back to school experience. Parents around the country are starting to relax, getting used to newly created routines. Even I noticed that this morning, both of my kids seem to be accepting of the one standard clock time that we need to follow. Usually they run on their own time schedule and I swear it's not based on any time that matches one of the many clocks in my house!

There is no doubt that this time of year is hard on parents. Let me repeat that: this time of year is very hard on parents!  We all want our kids to be successful in life and we make choices and decisions based on what we believe will help them acheive all that they can. It's true that we all have different reasons for making the choices we do for our families but it definitley helps to  hear from one another to help remind us that success is possible.  Below is a collection of successes shared on our Facebook page by K12 parents giving a shout out to their children as they completed their first few weeks of school.

Here’s just a few of the almost 100 posted:

  • "My CAVA 9th grader just loves waking up and logging in to K12. She is so excited everyday and self motivated!"

  • "My daughter did most of her school work without being told, she enjoyed art this week! She drew an abstract drawing and a self portrait."

  • "My son, a 1st Grader, sang a song he made up for his teacher. lol It's called, "I Love My Teacher"."

  • "For making the adjustment to homeschooling seem easy. And 100% on her History."

  • "My 4th grader is rocking through his studies, impressing me in every subject. This week he decided to take a simple History Journal entry and make it a posterboard project - all on his own! He is really enjoying school."

  • "My 3rd grader made cookies all by herslf, my 5th grader mastered 3 lessons in a row for math, My other 5th grader who was at a 1st grade reading level when she began with K12 last year, is now reading like a pro. . . I am guessing a 3rd grade level! Telling time almost all the time!!! K12 I do so love you. . . .Thank you!!"

  • "Had a great week at school. This is amazing since he has hated school since 1st grade!"

I hope reading these wins will help parents out there feel more confident about their decision to choose online education and help lead them to the right decision for those parents that are still in the decision making process.
