When I grow up… Career Exploration for Pre-Teens  (6-8)

What do I like to do?  What’s important to me? How can I identify my interests and explore careers that are right for me? How can I help my child explore their own unique path?

In this session you will learn about the career exploration process from school counselors. Speakers will help you understand how to identify the relationship between your skills, interest and abilities and the relevance to careers that may be a good match for you.  You’ll learn about K12 tools and resources as well as practical activities for ongoing career exploration and planning.  And finally, you’ll have an opportunity to ask questions and discuss ideas for future exploration.
Remember, this first workshop in our series is tailored for Middle School students!

The K12 college and career workshops will begin this month and run all the way through April 2013.  Log in to your OLS tomorrow for the access link to attend!
