What better way to kick off the summer season than a road trip? K12, the leader in tuition-free education, is hitting the road with its ‘Public School at Home Tour’ to share innovative educational programs with families nationwide. The tour will begin on June 13 in Phoenix, Arizona, and stop in 15 cities across the country. Families and students will be able to learn about personalizing their academic pathways through K12’s innovative exhibits. Parents and children alike can experience how the specialized curriculum of K12 can cater to their customized needs.
A cutting edge 40-foot-long interactive mobile unit will be equipped with a registration area, web-based and hands-on activities for kids, and opportunities for parents to meet with K12 representatives and students to experience K12 lessons.
The unit features six “zones” to immerse visitors into the K12-powered public school experience. On-site brand ambassadors will be available to answer questions and give parents more information about enrolling their children into K12. The trailer will be equipped with four different monitors which will include rotating video content of daily routines of current K12 students, and visitors will be able to access existing middle school and high school K12 lesson plans. A main attraction is the “Edutainment” zone, where students will have the opportunity to code a robot and participate in an augmented reality where they can “try on” different careers, with the ‘K12 Future Selfie’!
“The tour is an extension of K12’s current creative concepts, incorporating a real, hands-on experience that goes far beyond a television advertisement,” said James Dale, senior director of marketing at K12. He hopes that this tour will increase exposure to K12’s public school options within these 15 markets.
