You know, it's really a shame that throughout our daily lives we may find ourselves near some really interesting or historical spots, and never know they're right in front of us.

Wouldn't it be nice if we could be alerted when we're near something of interest, receive a bit of information about it, and choose to learn more about the world around us?

This is exactly what Google is trying to help us all accomplish with a little-known app called
"Field Trip" from Google's Niantic Labs, which is an odd offshoot of the search giant, to say the least. As odd as that might be, I appreciate Google/Niantic's attempts to get people out and explore the physical world. 

Tablets, we all know about this new category of mobile computing devices, and though the market is young, many of us already own one. 

Before the first iPad hit the market a few years ago, I was skeptical that this new class of devices was necessary. We already had PC's, laptops, and smartphones. The latter two were (and still are) good options for staying connected on-the-go. Was there really a need for something in-between?I sure didn't buy into the idea.

Boy was I wrong! The first iPad was a smashing success, and Apple has sold more of them every time they release a new version. In addition to the iPad, Google got into the tablet game a few years back with the release of Android 3.0 Honeycomb. Microsoft is now in the game with their hybrid desktop/mobile effort that is Windows 8. 

Math is a subject that gives many of us trouble, which is exactly why we created the K12 National Math Lab. The lab is designed to meet the needs of those students below grade level in math, as determined by various tests (including Scantron and state testing).

Below is a quick rundown of the K12 National Math Lab, how it works and who can benefit from it. If you have additional comments about the math lab, let us know in the comments at the bottom of this post and we will gladly answer them. 

Online high schools are still a relatively unknown concept for many people, but for those of us who have seen many school years come and go, it’s easy to understand why online schools see increased enrollment year after year.

For those who aren’t familiar with online high school programs, I’ve put together a short list of the reasons we hear day in and day out, that students choose our online high school programs over other options.
