May is National Military Appreciation Month

We recognize May as National Military Appreciation Month, time to extend heartfelt thanks, strengthen our patriotism, increase awareness and whole heartedly support our troops and vets, including the many who have died in pursuit of freedom and peace.
Military Appreciation Month includes Loyalty Day (1st), Military Spouse Appreciation Day (11th), VE Day (8th), Armed Forces Day (19th), and Memorial Day (30th).
Through deployments, frequent moves and new cultural experiences, there is no doubt that military families face many challenges. These challenges can be looked at as opportunities though, and a lot of value can be found in the richness and diversity it brings to our perspectives, particularly military children.
Those challenges/opportunities presented to military families are recognized world-wide, and many global companies are doing what they can to help! For example, Facebook hosted a live event recently to discuss and explain new military-specific tools they have made available to service members in crisis, struggling military family members, and veterans in need of assistance.
K12 and our partner schools offer a variety of online education options that can help bring consistency to an ever-changing military family's life.
Because our courses can be done virtually anywhere, as long as there is an internet connection available, military families can continue on with the education of their children with little interruption as they adapt to the twists and turns of their life.
The Wilds family, who shared a picture of their "Mobile School Room" on our K12 Inc Facebook page are just one of the many K12 families who have taken advantage of the many benefits online schooling offers for military families.
