K12 Connect to Careers Day: Helping Find Your Path

The K12 Finding Your Path Program is all about supporting students in navigating their unique path to the future. Our goal is to connect students to the information and resources they need to identify their interests and make informed decisions about life after high school; college, careers and beyond.
To help reach our goal, we are hosting our second annual career day event tomorrow , April 20, 2012.
K12 Connect to Careers Day offers K12 High School students an opportunity to explore a range of 21st century career fields from Law Enforcement to Arts and Media to Technology and Health Services. Students will learn what it takes to pursue certain careers by "real world" professionals who are more than happy to share their experience and advice.
There will be educational and engaging online workshops scheduled from 10AM EST to 4PM EST. Students can come and go throughout the day and choose from a series of speaker presentations, as well as pop into breakout rooms offering interactive and independent activities that will develop career and job skills.
This year's speakers include a chef, a border patrol agent, a nurse, a sports agent intern, an army officer, an artist and many more!
99% of students who attended last year's event reported that they were satisfied or very satisfied with last year’s event. If that feedback is any indication of this year's success, it should be another great year of helping our kids reach their goals.
