Should Schools Restrict Social Media Usage?
A new law in the state of Missouri prohibits teachers to be "friends" with their students on Facebook. It's very much a sign of the digital times we live in. The law also includes language that bans teachers from connecting with students on any social networking site that allows private communication. Teachers are also supposed to refrain from connecting with former students under the age of 18.
What are your thoughts on this? Should states pass laws to restrict social media usage between teachers and students that can not be monitored?
